FAQ for HIKMICRO Sight User

Step1: Open the "Customer Service" page and select "Register Product" card.

Note: If you have not logged in on the website, please enter your username and password to log in. If you do not have an account, please click "Register Now" to register an account and log in.

Step 2: Click the "Register Product" button.

Step 3: Enter the serial number of your device and click “Register”, the device will be automatically registered.

Result: After successful registration, you can check the warranty directly on the device management interface.

Note:Before registering, please make sure the Sight APP has been upgraded to the latest version.

STEP 1: Enter “ME” section at the bottom right of the Sight APP and tap “Log in”.

STEP 2: Enter your registered account and password, read and agree the Service Agreement and Privacy Policy. Select “Log in” to log in to the Sight APP.

STEP 3: Then connect the device with the Sight APP, the device will be automatically registered.

Result: After successful registration, the icon of “register” in the device list will disappear. You can tap “Product Info” to check the warranty. 

Question 1: What should I do if the device has been registered with other user?

Answer: 

Scenario 1: You can log in to the previous account or can contact the previous user to log in to the account

Step 1: Open the "Customer Service" page and select "Register Product" card.

Note: If you have not logged in on the website, please enter your username and password to log in. If you do not have an account, please click "Register Now" to register an account and log in.

Step 2: Select the "Device management" and click "View Details" in the product list.

Step 3: Click "Delete Product from Account" .

Step 4: Click the "Register Product" button.

Step 5: Enter the serial number of your device and click "Register", the device will be automatically registered.

 

Scenario 2: You can't log in to the previous account and can't contact the previous user to log in to the account

Step1: Open the "Customer Service" page and select "Register Product" card.

Note: If you have not logged in on the website, please enter your username and password to log in. If you do not have an account, please click "Register Now" to register an account and log in.

Step 2: Click the "Register Product" button.

Step 3: Enter the serial number of your device and click "Register", it will prompt that your device has been registered by other users.

Step 4: Click "Apply to unregister".

Step 5: Fill in the relevant information and submit.

Result: After the manual review has passed, the device will be automatically registered by your account.

Note: We will review it within 5 working days. If you need urgent treatment, please contact online service with your serial number.

 

Question 2: What should I do if the device does not have a 180-day extended warranty or the device's warranty expiry date is incorrect?

Note: Please make sure that you registered your device within one month of purchase and that your device supports extended warranty. Then follow the steps below:

Step1: Open the "Customer Service" page and select "Register Product" card.

Note: If you have not logged in on the website, please enter your username and password to log in. If you do not have an account, please click "Register Now" to register an account and log in.

Step 2: Select "Service Application->Warranty Update".

Step 3: Click "+" and select the device.

Step 5: Fill in the relevant information and submit. 

Result: We review the purchase date on the proof of purchase you submit to update the warranty.

Note: We will review it within 5 working days. If you need urgent treatment, please contact online service with your serial number.

 

Question 1: What should I do if the device has been registered with other user?

Step 1: Upgrade HIKMICRO Sight to the latest version.

Step 2: Tap "Product info" in the product list on the Home page.

Step 3: Tap "Delete Device" in the top right corner. 

Step 4: Log in to the new account that needs to be bounded with the device and connect the device with Sight.

Result: The device will be automatically registered.

 

Scenario 2: You can't log in to the previous account and can't contact the previous user to log in to the account

Step 1: Upgrade HIKMICRO Sight to the latest version and log in to your account.

Step 2: Connect your device with Sight.

Step 3: Tap "Register" in the list of device on the HOME page, it will prompt that your device has been registered by other users.

Step 4: Click "Apply to unregister".

Step 5: Fill in the relevant information and submit.

Result: After the manual review has passed, the device will be automatically registered by your account.
