HIKMICRO, a leading provider of thermal imaging equipment and solutions, is changing the game again with the introduction of the THUNDER 2.0 line, designed for both advanced and entry-level users. A step up from the THUNDER 1.0 series, the company’s latest innovations will aid users in keeping their Game in Sight, Like Never Before, whether they are using the scope variant or the clip-on series.
Adding a new focus knob design, extended battery life, and NETD<20mK thermal sensitivity, the THUNDER 2.0 series also boasts multiple screen configurations, a new UI with Quick Menu, a new adapter for clip-on usage, and support for microphones like the Pro line.

Featuring high thermal sensitivity and an ultra-powerful camera, both lines ensure perfect detail recognition in various weather and light conditions.
At NETD<20mK, even the tiniest of details in objects and backgrounds can be picked up easily and clearly, with the weather and light conditions accounted for thanks to HIKMICRO’s technological advancements. The powerful thermal camera also produces pristine imagery, made possible with a thermal detector of up to 640x512 resolution, a 1024x768 OLED display, and a F1.0 lens.
The new focus knob design replaces the focus ring from previous models, improving the ergonomics of use for users, while the magnesium alloy design allows the THUNDER 2.0 to be lightweight and compact, with improved stability that contributes to long-lasting use. The new products are also easier to mount and demount, while there is also support for the M52*0.75 thread with third-party adapters.
Users will enjoy powerful battery performance across the board, with the new HIKMICRO battery pack making it possible for 10 hours of continuous use. As it is also replaceable and rechargeable, there will be no fear of losing sight of the target with additional batteries, and usage in low-temperature environments is also unaffected.
On the software front, the brand-new UI and friendly quick menu keep popular functions easily accessible, while brightness and tone adjustments allow users to find the right balance for comfortable viewing. Multiple reticle (for scope) and zeroing (for clip-on) profiles are other ways to personalize the use. In certain situations, the THUNDER 2.0’s recoil-activated video and audio recording will come in handy to capture the perfect shot, and the automatic calibration countdown brings ease of mind without disturbing the game.
Extended Support
HIKMICRO has always been about the customers, and the THUNDER 2.0 line comes with product service support for up to three years on components, 10 years on the uncooled detector, and one year for the removable battery. The setting up of an offline RMA office will enable the company to better serve customers as well.
“In addition to pursuing excellent build quality and reliability of our products, HIKMICRO also gives you peace of mind in the unlikely event of a problem with your unit. We will offer the best service for repairing or replacing issues locally within a short turnaround time, ensuring you have your product back in your hands as quickly as possible,” said marketing manager of HIKMICRO.
