FALCON, THUNDER 2.0 and CONDOR: Flagship Thermal Imaging Devices with 20mK Sensitivity from HIKMICRO

Apr 3, 2024

Thermal imaging has reached a new level, and currently, in terms of detail and image quality, it does not have to yield to night vision technology. This is all thanks to modern sensors made with ultra-high thermal sensitivity below 20mK. Users of devices built with this technology can not only count on excellent detection capabilities but also on very detailed images even in challenging weather conditions. HIKMICRO was one of the first companies to introduce devices with 20mK sensors to the market. FALCON, THUNDER 2.0, and CONDOR are the Flagship Thermal Imaging Devices with 20mK Sensitivity from HIKMICRO.

High Sensitivity Thermal Monocular FALCON

The FALCON series is already a premium class among thermal imaging monoculars, ushering in the era of ultra-high thermal sensitivity below 20mK. The monocular's design has been improved to ensure maximum ease of use along with the option to exchange batteries. The advanced sensor with very high sensitivity can detect and display fine details, such as animal fur, branches, and leaves, yet it creates a reliable image even in low-visibility conditions. The flagship model FQ50 with a 640×512@12μm sensor and a very large aperture F0.9 has a range of up to 2600m and 2.6x magnification with the possibility of 8x digital zoom. The field of view at 100m is approximately 15.3m, and the image is displayed on a nearly half-inch OLED HD 1024 display. With FALCON, not only can you identify the speice of animals, but also the shape of antlers at a reasonable distance. Unprecedented image quality combined with state-of-the-art additional features makes it one of the best thermal imagers on the market.

Ultra Sensitive THUNDER 2.0 Scope and Clip-on

The new THUNDER 2.0 series is very compact and also the first thermal scope/clip-on on the market with very high thermal sensitivity NETD<20mK. Compared to the 1.0 series, significant improvements have been made, including a new control system with a convenient focus knob mounted at the top. Additionally, each button has a different texture, making intuitive operation easy even in total darkness. Another significant feature distinguishing the THUNDER 2.0 is the dedicated 4400mAh battery, which allows the device to operate for up to 10 hours. THUNDER 2.0 features a body made of aluminum-magnesium alloy and easily withstands even caliber 9.3×62. Users can choose a model depending on the sensor resolution from 256px, 384px to 640px, all in 12 μm pixel pitch technology. The version with the lowest sensor is a cost-effective one, which works perfectly for night hunting in the forest or on small open areas. The last two versions use sensors from the flagship FALCON, so the image quality is incredibly sharp and accurate even in adverse weather conditions. The THUNDER 2.0 clip-on series can also be mounted with an m52 adapter. They retain both the design and specification of a standard sight and work well with scopes with smaller base magnifications.

Thermal Monocular with LRF HIKMICRO CONDOR

CONDOR is one of the most anticipated thermal imagers on the market, created based on feedback and suggestions from hunters across Europe. It incorporates all the best features from FALCON plus a laser rangefinder. This is another model featuring modern sensors from the 20mK group, so the image quality is excellent. Additionally, the device has been enhanced with a zoom-pro function, allowing detailed image extraction even in digital zoom mode without significant loss of quality. The monocular is very compact, fits perfectly in the hand, and can also be worn around the neck. It is available in a similar sensor and lens configuration as FALCON, and also uses the same interchangeable power source.
